It is an enclosed valley surrounded by some of the Lake District’s most iconic mountains; Great Gable, Pillar and Haystacks, providing a natural backdrop of dramatic ridges and wooded slopes.

All the routes are undulating and low level with a great mixture of technical single-track, forest roads and lakeshore trails with one or two testing features such a short exposed scramble around Anglers Crag.
