Having proved itself as an adept manager of landscapes in Scotland, the John Muir Trust has launched a £500,000 appeal to fund its expansion to Wales through the purchase of the 105 hectare Carreg y Saeth Isaf (Lower Rock of the Arrow) site in Snowdonia.
Currently in private hands, the Trust wants to continue with the site’s present light-touch management to encourage nature to take its natural course. This is a rare and unique opportunity, with the site being home to a diverse array of wildlife.
The Trust is currently holding an appeal to reach their target of £500,000, and any donations would provide welcome assistance.
